Christina Aguilera Files for Divorce; Did She Cheat On Hubby?

Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce. The news comes just days after word got out that Christina Aguilera and her husband, Jordan Bratman, were having marital problems.

According to TMZ, Aguilera filed divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had a prenup and Aguilera is asking that Bratman not be granted spousal support. She is also seeking joint custody of their two year old son, Max.

Rumors have been circulating that Christina Aguilera cheated on Bratman during a recent trip to Mexico with her gal pals Nicole Richie and Samantha Ronson. Bill Zwecker of FOX Chicago says that an insider tells them that that’s not what led to the divorce filing:

Forget those internet rumors about Christina Aguilera’s wild partying in Cabo San Lucas with galpals Nicole Richie and Samantha Ronson as being the “final straw,” leading to her separating from husband Jordan Bratman.

I spoke with a friend of Aguilera’s, who was at the Mexican resort with the women, who told me a very different story.

“Yes, everybody had a good time, but it was pretty tame, especially for those girls! … What really went on was Christina crying on her girlfriends’ shoulders about how neglected she felt by Jordan. They told her what she should be getting from her husband, if you get my drift,” my source said.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of Aguilera cheating on her husband. Back in 2007, record producer Dallas Austin claimed he had sex with the married singer in exchange for music tracks for her album. Austin also said Aguilera’s husband knew all about it.
