However, no one has officially confirmed any Derek Jeter engaged talk, much less Jeter and Kelly themselves. Naturally, Derek Jeter engaged rumors have broken near September, as Jeter hopes to get the Yankees back to the postseason.

The New York Post posted the rumor on their Page Six gossip page, alleging that Derek Jeter got engaged to Minka Kelly in secret, and that they are planning a fall wedding. Of course, the New York Post got this rumor from an unnamed “insider.”

The story claims that Jeter and Kelly are telling friends and family to “save the date” for the fall. However – either because they didn’t want the secret out this soon, or because it isn’t true – reps for the couple denied the Derek Jeter engaged talk.
