Dwight Howard Sings!!! He’s Released “Shoot the Stars” CD….
As Dwight Howard starts a new NBA season with the Orlando Magic, he’s adding singer to his list of talents. The NBA star has released his first album called “Shoot for the Stars.” It’s a CD for kids that has him singing songs made famous by the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, and Harry Belafonte. He even raps on one song, MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This.”
The NBA center told the Associated Press that he knows that rapping is not his forte: “I’m not good at rapping, I’ll say that,” he says. “But singing, I can hold a note. I’m pretty good. If I had to sing in front of a big crowd, I don’t think I’d be that shy.”
A portion of the proceeds from sales of the CD will go to the BETA center, an organization that helps families in Orlando, Florida.
