Ellen Degeneres Quits American Idol After One Season
We sure didn’t see this one coming…. Talk show host and American Idol judge Ellen Degeneres says she’s stepping down from AI at the end of her first season.
No, Simon has not scared her away. Degeneres says that the show put an unexpected strain on her already chaotic schedule and that she didn’t like judging people and their talent (or lackthereof).
She added that she will work with the American Idol producers to ensure that a suitable replacement is found before she leaves the show for good.
