Fantasia Gets Honorary Degree… From A HIGH SCHOOL!!!

This story confused us. At first we thought Fantasia, who has struggled with illiteracy and never graduated from high school, had earned her GED. But, it looks like she was awarded an honorary degree instead, from a high school. We didn’t know high schools gave those out.

According to Digtriad.com:

Singer Fantasia Barrino appeared in Greensboro Saturday, but she had a different reason to be on stage.

The singer earned her honorary degree while becoming apart of Andrews High School graduation ceremony.

Barrino walked with the graduates in a cap and gown at the Greensboro Coliseum today.

Andrews High School was among at least five other high schools to graduate from the Guilford County schools system.
