Fox Cancels Jennifer Beales ‘Chicago Code’ Crime Drama
After one season, FOX has decided to cancel their crime drama, ‘Chicago Code.’ The show, that followed the contentious relationship between Chicago cops and the city’s powerful alderman was unable to garner sufficient ratings in its time slot.
No word on whether the network will air the show’s two remaining season one episodes.
The Chicago Sun-Times gave the show the following review:
“More than most series made on Chicago’s streets, ‘The Chicago Code’ attempted to capture the culture of the city, dropping references to local history and filming in areas both prominent and obscure… Its main characters — a roguish cop (Jason Clarke), his book-smart partner (Matt Lauria), a powerful alderman (Lindo) and a reform-minded police chief (Beals) — were ever aware of Chicago’s climate of corruption.”
