Ja Rule To Begin Serving Time Behind Bars Today
Ja Rule is expected to turn himself in today to an upstate New York prison where he is expected to serve at least two years jail time.
The rapper plead guilty back in December of 2010 to attempted criminal possession for a weapon. Ja Rule was driving his Mayback after performing with Lil Wayne and was pulled over back by police who found a .40 caliber semi-automatic gun in the vehicle.
In a recent interview, Ja Rule said the following about getting into trouble with the law:
“Laws are laws…There’s nothing I could really do but own up to the situation. You know, I try not to regret anything I do in life, because you go through life and you do things, and you man up to them. You own them.”
He says he hopes to get his GED, learn how to play guitar, and write a book while he is incarcerated.
And don’t expect jail time to stop him from putting out new music. He’s been working hard in the studio churning out new music and shooting new music videos that will be released while he is locked up.
