Matt Barnes’ Fiancee Says He Has Never Been Physically Abusive

Matt Barnes’ fiancee, Gloria Govan, has released a statement saying that the NBA star has never been physically abusive to her, their kids or anyone in her family.

Gloria Govan, who appeared in the ‘Basketball Wives’ reality series is said to have gotten into a physical altercation of some sort with the Lakers star the other night. Cops arrested Matt and released him hours later on $50,000 bond. Barnes took to Twitter following his release encouraging people not to believe what they see and hear in the media.

We are not sure what to believe. Reports from police on the scene say that both Barnes and Govan had marks on their bodies indicating that the two got into it physically. And if you take a look at Matt’s mug shot above, he’s got red scratch marks on his neck (see below)….sigh…. smh.
