NBC Cancels Boris Kodjoe’s ‘Undercovers’ TV Drama Series
Deadline.com is reporting that NBC has decided to cancel the tv drama “Undercovers” starring Boris Kodjoe. The network had originally ordered 13 episodes of the spy drama and the cast is currently filming the 12th episode.
The series has been a ratings disappointment bringing in a paltry 1.3 rating this week in the key 18-49 demographic. The series broke ground by having two African-American actors in lead roles on a one hour drama series. This cancelation comes on the heels of another cancelation of an NBC show with an actor of color in a lead role. NBC also canceled their nighttime court drama “Outlaw” starring Latino actor, Jimmy Smits.
For those of you who are fans of the show, NBC will play the next two episodes of the show but it is uncertain if the remaining episodes will ever be aired.
