(New Music) Lil Wayne’s Repping for the Green BayPackers with “Green & Yellow”
Lil Wayne is leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind who he will be rooting for during the Superbowl this weekend when the Green Bay Packers go up against the Pittsburgh Steelers for the NFL Championship. The rapper is proud to rep the Packers and has switched up Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” on a new freestyle called “Green And Yellow.”
In the song, he explains his choice: ”….Yeah I’m from New Orleans, but I been a Packers fan/ We knocked the Eagles and the Falcons and the Bears off/ Now we ’bout to cut Troy Polamalu hair off”
And before you accuse him of being a fair weather fan, in a past interview with ESPN magazine the rapper revealed that he has been a Green Bay Packers fan since the mid-90′s.
