A new documentary on rapper Tupac Shakur is scheduled to be released in January of next year. The documentary entitled  “Tupac Uncensored and Uncut: The Lost Prison Tapes” shows numerous never-before-seen interviews that the rapper did from the Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995. Tupac was locked up after being convicted of sexual assault.

The interviews show another side of Tupac from his frustrations around being incarcerated to all of the books he was reading during that time like Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” and a screenplay he was working on called “Live 2 Tell.”

The documentary is expected to go straight to DVD and is scheduled to be in stores by January 26th.

Meanwhile director Antoine Fuqua is reportedly working on a major motion picture biography on Tupac that is scheduled to start filming this November. No word yet on who will play Tupac but Fuqua has said in recent months that he will be looking for a newcomer to play the role.
