Oprah to be Piers Morgan’s First Guest on CNN’s Larry King Show Replacement
When Pier’s Morgan replaces longtime CNN host, Larry King, later this month he will launch with a bang. An Oprah sized bang.
The network announced this week that Oprah Winfrey will be the British broadcaster’s first guest during his first show on January 17th when he takes over King’s time slot with his show ‘Piers Morgan Tonight.’
When asked by a reporter if Oprah was a good get for a first guest (reporter said she’s a bit overexposed) Morgan responded by saying:
“The idea that you can say Oprah is not a great get for a first interview is ridiculous. She’s the top one or two gets in the world – especially now that she’s got her own network, the biggest gamble of her career, as she told to me.”
No doubt Oprah will spend a good part of the interview talking about her new network, OWN, that launched this past weekend.
