Plaxico Burress To Stay In Jail, Denied Work Release Program
Plaxico Burress has been denied a work release program for the second time since being incarcerated for shooting himself in the leg in a NY nightclub. The former NFL star is currently serving a two year sentence and is not scheduled for release until next spring.
The Department of Corrections explained that the nature of his crime influenced their decision to deny his bid to join the work release program. Burress has the option of appealing the ruling but is not eligible to reapply for the program until next June which coincides with his expected release date.
