Prince Donates $1.5 Million to 3 New York City Schools
Prince is showing his commitment to the next generation by donating more than $1.5 million to 3 New York City schools.
According to Essence.com:
His Purple Highness announced that he would be donating $1.5 million to three very deserving three local New York City schools.
Prince opened up a $1 million line of credit to the Harlem Children’s Zone, and a $250,000 line of credit to the Uptown Dance Academy and American Ballet Theatre. According to a press release, he set up these amazing lines of credit so he can remain in involved with the school’s needs.
“A function of our love for the next generation is instilling in them our own hard-fought knowledge. We can’t wait to see — or only hope for — the future of those coming after us,” Prince said. “We must actively take responsibility for ensuring their success.”
