Prince To Head To White House To Talk About Copyright Protection
Prince tells the UK’s ‘The Guardian’ that he is scheduled to head to the White House to talk about Copyright Protection Laws for recording artists and musicians. More than any other entertainer, Prince has consistently fought to protect his image and his rights as a musician:
“I’m supposed to go to the White House to talk about copyright protection. It’s like the gold rush out there. Or a carjacking. There’s no boundaries.”
He’s a strong critic of digital music:
“I personally can’t stand digital music. You’re getting sound in bits….It affects a different place in your brain. When you play it back, you can’t feel anything. We’re analog people, not digital.”
In fact, he is so critical that he has fought against allowing Amazon or Itunes to sell his back catalogue.
