R&B star Chris Brown plead guilty today in a Los Angeles courtroom to assaulting his former girlfriend, singer Rihanna back in February following an argument the couple had on the eve of the Grammy’s. Brown was given 180 hours of community service (hard labor) and will be on probation for five years. In addition, the former lovebirds are not allowed to get within 50 feet of one another, 10 feet if they are attending the same public event. Brown must also attend domestic violence classes and check in with the court every three months.
Both stars appeared in the courtroom today at separate times but neither was asked to recount the events of that night because of the plea deal.
