Sandra Bullock Asked To Return Her Razzie

Imagine being given an award for “worst actress” in a movie and then, months later, being asked to return that award.

That’s exactly what has happened to actress Sandra Bullock. Earlier this year, she was awarded a Razzie for “worst actress” for her performance in the movie, “All About Steve.”

Now the actress is being asked by the Razzies to return the award not because of a change of heart (they still deem her performance, and the movie, Razzie-worthy) but because she had one of their prototype original awards. The Razzies expected Sandra to be a no-show and anticipated they would have to send her her knock off Razzie they give to award winners. When she showed, she claimed the prototype award.

This all came as a surprise to Sandra’s publicist who said to E! News:

“We were never contacted by them to return the Razzie,” Bullock’s publicist, Cheryl Maisel, told E!. “I contacted them yesterday to check the validity of the story and was only told then that we had been given the wrong award. We will be returning the Razzie to them shortly.”
