Security Guard Steals Signed Jordan Jersey From Tony Parker
It sure is hard to find good help these days … more via BinaryBasketball:
A security guard/thief decided to steal an autographed Michael Jordan jersey from Tony Parker while he was working for Tony Parker in an effort to prevent somebody from stealing things from Tony Parker like, ohh I don’t know, autographed Michael Jordan jerseys.
Apparently, after stealing the jersey the man went home and decided to make some money off his cunning grab by throwing it on craigslist and finding a buyer for his stolen goods. According to sources, the Michael Jordan jersey is worth around $20,000 but get this. The jersey was sold the very next day for a whopping $120.
Even better is that the secruity guard who stole the Michael Jordan jersey neglected to steal the certificiate of authenticity that came right along with the jersey. Yeah, he left that at the gym where the jersey was displayed. Though, he did think about stealing that too because his fingerprints were found all over it according to the police.
So you steal a $20,000 autographed Michael Jordan jersey from Tony Parker and go home and sell it for $120 on Craigslist using your real name and you neglect to steal the certificiate of authenticity but leave your fingerprints on it and don’t think you are going to get caught? Ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about a real winner here.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess this security guard/thief ate paint chips or lived under some power lines or something…
No word yet on whether the jersey has been returned to Parker.
