Real Housewife Loses Home To Foreclosure

The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that the home of Sheree Whitfield, one of the stars of Bravo TV’s hit reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was sold in foreclosure last month for a reported $1.1 million. 

The foreclosure comes amidst serious allegations that, in March of this year, the reality star stripped the house of furniture, light fixtures, and appliances. Whitfield denies allegations that she’s responsible for the destruction, telling the paper that after discovering the damage she filed a police incident report against a business associate she says stripped the house without her knowledge.

Whitfield is the ex-wife of former NFL player Bob Whitfield. The couple, who have three kids together, divorced in 2005. In January of this year, the Journal-Constitution reported that Sheree Whitfield dropped a divorce appeal seeking alimony, claiming that the former Atlanta Falcon had squandered his fortune and still owed her more than $300,000 in back child support for their three children. The paper now reports that her divorce attorneys claim the former Mrs. Whitfield owes them more than $89,000 in lawyer fees.

Whitfield declined to describe her exact current living conditions to the Journal-Constitution, but did say that she had downsized. No word yet on how this will affect the show’s second season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”  The show’s new season taped in April and May of this year and is slated to premiere on Bravo TV later this summer.
