Source: Mo’Nique Mad About Oprah’s Interview With Her Brother

This past week, Oprah interviewed Monique’s brother, Gerald Imes, on her show. Imes admitted to sexually molesting the Oscar award winning actress when she was a kid.

As Oprah mentioned at the beginning of her show, she called Mo’Nique to make sure it was okay with Mo’Nique that she do the interview. Mo’Nique gave her her blessing and declined to come on the show.

Now RadarOnline.com is reporting that, according to a source close to Mo’Nique, the actress is upset about how the show turned out, saying “Oprah and Mo’Nique were never the best of friends… Mo’Nique was less than impressed with how the interview played out as she felt that her brother lied and that it was not sympathetic enough towards her.” The source added, “She thinks that Imes lied in the interview and that now her relationship with her family is worse, not better.”

She’s also upset that, “Gerald actually made the first move and called Oprah asking her if he could appear on the show.” The source added, “Also, she is angry that he did not get any help or enter a rehab and she does not trust him around children.”

Radaronline.com is also reporting that Oprah has invited Mo’Nique on the show, but the actress has declined the offer so far.
