T.I. Helps Prevent Man From Committing Suicide

T.I. helped police prevent a man from jumping off of a building in Atlanta yesterday. The rapper was on his way to a video shoot when he heard that a man was threatening to commit suicide.

T.I. called Ryan Cameron of V103 (housed in the same building the suicide jumper was looking to jump from) and made his way to the station to help out. Once he arrived he recorded a video message that the police then played for the jumper: “Nothing is that bad,” the rapper reportedly said in the video. “Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.”

T.I.’s message worked. The man agreed to come down from the ledge and spoke to T.I. later on in the lobby of the building.

Big ups to T.I. for taking the time out of his schedule to see if he could be of help. A lot of folks would have just kept it pushing and would have not gotten involved.

And for those of you who are disappointed about his recent run ins with the law, Tip has this to say: “All of those who have been let down by these circumstances, I want to give you my sincerest apologies and let you know that I will make it up to you and make you proud in the future.”
