As we reported yesterday, Lyfe Jennings has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison following a domestic dispute with the mother of his 2 children back in 2008. The singer fired multiple gun shots before leading police on a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed his Corvette. In the courtroom, Jennings apologized for his bad behavior. Rev Al On Plaxico: “Sentence Is Way Out of Proportion With The Crime”

According to TMZ.com: The Rev just sent us the following statement: "I think it is an unusually harsh sentence for someone who was his own victim. He should be punished but his sentence is way out of proportion with the crime. Celebrities should not be given special treatment but they should not be given exceptional punishments either."
