The Hallmark Channel Gives Maya Angelou Her Own Show
The Hallmark Channel has announced that poet and author, Maya Angelou, will have her own show on the network. The new show called “The Spirit Table” is expected to begin airing soon. It is slated for their 2011-2012 programming schedule.
The Hallmark Channel is describing the show as an unscripted weekly series that will include a blend of “cooking, laughing, and sharing stories With Dr. Angelou and today’s most fascinating people” with promises of high profile guests to join her each week.
Dr. Angelou most recently hosted her own show on Oprah’s Channel on Sirius/Xm.
