Donald Trump Brags About Great Relationship W/ “The Blacks”
During an interview with Fred Dicker of the NY Post, real estate mogul Donald Trump talked about a potential run for President and his relationship with African-Americans.
Trump said the low numbers of African-Americans who supported Hillary Clinton were troubling and he would expect to receive low support from them as well:
“I tell it like it is….[Y]ou’ll hear a political reporter go on and say it had nothing to do with race. But how come she had such a tiny piece of the vote? And you know, it’s a very sad thing.”
He continued:
“I have a great relationship with the blacks. I’ve always had a great relationship with the blacks. But unfortunately, it seems that, you know, the numbers you cite are very, very frightening numbers.”
His inclusion of 4 black women and 1 black man on this season of Celebrity Apprentice notwithstanding, we’ll see how much support for him grows as word spreads he’s referring to us as “the blacks.”
