Tyler Perry Sends Philly Campers To Disney World
Tyler Perry, the Atlanta-based director, writer and actor behind “Madea’s Family Reunion” and ”Diary of a Mad Black Woman,” is sending dozens of youngsters from the Creative Steps day camp to Disney World next month, he said on his official Web site.
The camp director’s daughter, who works at Creative Steps, confirmed the invitation.
The mostly black and Hispanic children gained national media attention after allegations they were kicked out of The Valley Club, a swim club in Lower Moreland, because of their race. The club maintains the ouster was due to overcrowding-related safety concerns.
