(Video) Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, and Yolanda Adams Perform Aretha Tribute
Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, and Martina McBride performed a special tribute to the ailing Aretha Franklin at this year’s 2011 Grammy Awards. The ladies performed a series of the Queen of Soul’s greatest hits.
The ladies began their tribute with a group rendition of Aretha’s “Natural Woman” followed by Christina Aguilera’s version of “Ain’t no way.” Later on in the tribute, Jennifer Hudson sang one of the Queen of Soul’s most famous and well known songs, “Respect.”
Franklin was not there for the Awards but she did pre-record a video that was played in which she thanked her fans and colleagues for their support as she recovers from an undisclosed medical condition.
