(Video) Lloyd: I Told Chris Brown “You Gotta Cry” During BET Awards

On Saturday, Chris Brown made headlines when he broke down during the 2010 BET Awards during his tribute performance to Michael Jackson. The singer was performing Jackson’s “Man In the Mirror” when he broke down in tears and couldn’t finish singing the song.

While his fans were moved by his tears, others speculated that his tears were all an act to attract attention and gain sympathy. To watch Chris Brown’s performance, click HERE.

Now there is even more speculation that the singer cried on purpose. R&B singer Lloyd is now saying that he told Chris Brown to cry during his performance:

“I told him man, you gotta get up there. You gotta CRY, you gotta really show your heart to the world.”
