Whoopi Goldberg Says She Was High When She Accepted Her Oscar in the 90′s

TMZ has obtained video of Whoopi Goldberg admitting on camera that she had smoked weed before she accepted her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in “Ghost” back in 90′s.

The video was reportedly shot during a voiceover session in 1992 when she was making the movie “The Pagemaster.”

Whoopi explained that she smoked weed to calm her nerves before the awards ceremony but that ultimately she realized she made a mistake:

“I learned a great lesson though. Never smoke pot before there’s the possibility of having to talk to one hundred million people. Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are one thing that relaxes me and I thought, ‘I’ve got to relax.’

“So I smoked this wonderful joint that was the last of my home grown and honey, when he said my name and I popped up, I was like, ‘Oh f**k, oh f**k, ok up the stairs one two three four five, around to the podium. There’s millions of people, OK pick up the statue…grab the statue.’ I knew I should have never had done it.”

She said her mother called her up later and called her out for smoking, saying her eyes were just “glistening.”
