Will Smith to Release Two ‘Independence Day’ Sequels

Will Smith will play the President of the United States in the next two installments of the 90′s hit movie ‘Independence Day’ (2 and 3). The sequels are scheduled to be out in theaters in 2012 and 2013 respectively; more than 15 years after the original movie was released.

The original movie was a huge hit with audiences making $50 million in theaters opening weekend alone. The movie went on to gross more than $306 million during its run in US theaters.
